Pasadena fireplace inserts know-how
Pasadena lies just west of Arcadia, and our work there runs from Old Town to Linda Vista and Bungalow Heaven. An older brick fireplace in the city can be converted to gas, but the flue has to match the new appliance. A clay tile liner sized for wood smoke may be too wide for an insert. Gas exhaust also carries moisture that wears at mortar joints over time. So before an insert goes in, we inspect the liner and size a stainless one to the unit when it is needed. For gas logs left in an open firebox, we confirm the damper clamp, the gas valve and the flame height, then write it all down. We've worked on everything from a single brick flue to a stacked multi-fireplace setup in this part of town, and we size up the visit accordingly.
